We would like to provide an update on the continuation of ENCQOR 5G’s activities in the context of the events surrounding COVID-19.

For safety reasons, the 5 innovation centres associated with ENCQOR 5G are closed until further notice. They are: Centech (Montreal), UMRsu (Quebec), Investir Ottawa MaRS (Toronto) and Communitech (Kitchener-Waterloo).

That said, ENCQOR 5G will continue to offer its services and functionalities that are available remotely to SMEs and other business partners. It should be noted that the vast majority of development activities conducted by SMEs on ENCQOR 5G’s platform are already carried out remotely.

For work requiring a physical presence in one of the innovation centres, ENCQOR 5G will provide an update in a few days on the measures that will be taken to mitigate the impacts of these closures and increase the number of   remote functionalities. More generally, ENCQOR 5G will take all necessary actions in the coming weeks to adapt its operational methods to the new business environment resulting from the arrival of COVID-19 in order to better serve SMEs and other business partners.

Furthermore, SMEs from Quebec and Ontario and other business partners may continue to submit new projects to ENCQOR 5G.

In summary, despite the difficult situation currently prevailing in Canada and elsewhere in the world, SMEs can continue to count on ENCQOR 5G to pursue their 5G digital transformations. The benefits of this technology will be numerous for the Canada’s long-term prosperity and the quality of life of its citizens and the community.
